Establish Certification Team & Define Scope of Certification
Put together a core team from different departments, such as milling, agriculture, legal and HR, to work on the certification process and define the scope of certification

Increase Capacity & Attend Training
We try to make learning about sugarcane sustainability easy, so we host a variety of training courses for practitioners and change-enablers.
During these sessions, you can learn everything from the fundamentals of the Bonsucro Standards, to Bonsucro Connect and Certification. We can even develop a unique training programme, tailored to your individual needs.
Perform Gap Analysis
The Bonsucro Calculator, part of Bonsucro Connect, calculates compliance with the Production Standard. Fill it out to see how the mill and farms compare. A gap analysis between current results and the Standard is the ideal starting point, after which a work plan can be developed to address the potential gaps.
Access Bonsucro Connect
Establish Road Map to Certification
Define work plan and work with mill managers and farmers/agriculture manager to close the gaps highlighted in the gap analysis. Regularly monitor progress towards sustainability.
Schedule a Pre-Audit or Full Audit
Contract a Bonsucro Licensed Certification Body to carry out an audit of the mill and farms
